Treatment Considerations and Contraindications
Dr. Ferchoff considers the cosmetic Meso-therapy procedure to be contraindicated for the following:
Pregnancy: Although not an absolute contraindication, there is no data on the possible effects of many of the natural substances used in the
Meso-therapy injections on a developing fetus.
Insulin Dependant Type II Diabetes: Which is accompanied by a glycohemoglobin of greater then 7. Dr.
Ferchoff does not consider this to be an absolute contraindication. There is much evidence to suggest that this form of Diabetes can possibly be overcome or at least
managed with diet, exercise and alternative therapies.
Chronic Diseases: Cancer, Heart, Vascular and Liver Diseases such as acute or chronic hepatitis. These conditions profoundly alter fat metabolism, interfere with blood clotting, wound healing and overall metabolism. Patients are less likely to get an optimal result with the
Meso-therapy procedure. Many individuals with these conditions in their early stages can be helped to create a more optimal metabolic environment and achieve better health.
